Sweet and sour chicken with black garlic ketchup

Sweet-and-Sour-Chicken

A unique variation on sweet and sour sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g boneless chicken thighs
  • 20 g olive oil
  • 100 g onions, sliced
  • 200 g colorful peppers, sliced
  • 10g grated ginger
  • 100 gr Black Garlic ketchup
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 200 g chicken stock
  • 30 g cashews
  • lime zest
  • 1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
  • Salt - Pepper

Directions:

Season the drumsticks with salt and pepper and sauté in a pan over high heat with the olive oil until lightly browned. Remove the drumsticks, add the peppers and onions and sauté over high heat for 1 minute. Add the drumsticks, ketchup, soy sauce, broth and cashews. Simmer for 15 minutes over medium heat, covered. Remove the lid and increase the heat, turning the pieces and simmering until the sauce thickens. Remove from the heat, grate the lime and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve with freshly boiled noodles or steamed basmati rice.
